A New Chapter Begins?

I've closed my chapter at commercetools. What started as a startup dream with Frontastic evolved through funding, acquisition, and growth into something larger than we could have imagined. Now it's time for something new – though I'm not yet sure what that "new" will be.

The farewell messages from my colleagues hit home in a way I hadn't expected. When you're building and growing companies, you often wonder if your core values survive the daily challenges and tough decisions. Their words confirmed what I always strived for: an environment where empathy, sustainable growth, and technical excellence coexist and reinforce each other.

Reading about the impact of our open communication, the safe space we created for growth, and the technical innovations we achieved together – it confirms that staying true to your beliefs pays off. We proved that you can build successful products while putting people first, that transparency works even in difficult times, and that technical excellence thrives in an empathetic environment.

As for this blog… well, it's been quiet here for quite a while. There might be more posts coming as I take this year to reflect and recharge. But I've promised myself one thing: 2025 will be a year without promises. No commitments to regular posts, no pressure to share before I'm ready. Just some posts when the moment feels right.
